Welcome to the action sports team page of Amanda Cerqueira DDS PA

Health begins in the mouth.

And it transfers into every area of your life!

We believe your best health begins with a cavity free, clean mouth. Everything else flows from there.

Very often our patients come in to find us talking about the trails we rode or the waves we surfed over the weekend. It is part of our corporate culture to stay healthy and play a lot. Some offices sponsor soccer teams, some have a baseball league, ours has an action sports team.

We believe recreation is crucial to a good life. So is exercise. It's even better when the two come together. To us this happens on either a surfboard or a mountain bike. This blog highlights surf contests, surf sessions, mountain bike races and rides. Our team is always getting into something fun on a weekly basis. You will be able to keep up with the team's activities by checking out the blog periodically.

Thanks for checking us out! Hope to see you out there sometime!

Our Action Sports team goes on the road for some different trails

Now that the New Year is fully underway, many resolutions begin to dwindle and the excitement of change for the better fades.  At the beginning of this year, we decided to PACE our lives.  This was with respect to many areas.  Time, work, play, family... We made the decision to choose wisely how we spend our time so that life could be enjoyed to the fullest, with more vigor, stamina, and happiness.
Just like the resolution some people may make to get healthier, flossing and better brushing included :-), we know that we want to spend as much time on the trails and in the water.  The mental and physical health that it brings is unexplainable!

We are so thankful to have both surfing and mountain biking in Wilmington. The trails at Blue Clay and Brunswick Nature Park are a blessing to our region.
Sometimes it's fun to ride differrent terrain so this weekend we went on the road to look for singletrack that is hillier, rockier and tighter. Charlotte is not Asheville, but it sure has a wide variety of fun mountain bike trails. It is also a lot closer to Carolina Beach!
The pics below were from two rides we did on Saturday, 2/26/11 and Sunday 02/27/11 at Francis Beatty park in Matthews, NC and Sherman Branch in Mint Hill, NC.
61 degrees on Sat. and 78 on Sunday! Our first "unofficial" spring ride!
